My wife and I had an absolutely lovely time at the Beach Peach! The home’s close proximity to the beach and Mason Ave—just two blocks and one block away, respectively—was such a wonderful perk. The interior and exterior of this charming 1889 home were not only attractive but also beautifully appointed, and we just adored the idyllic, covered front porch. The sun-filled and spacious bedrooms featured cozy mattresses, and we really appreciated the clever wall hooks that provided plenty of hanging space. With two bathrooms—one of which had a delightful freestanding clawfoot tub—we felt quite spoiled, especially since many of the homes we looked at had only a single bath! The fully stocked kitchen was a dream, with a refrigerator/freezer that had an ice maker, a washer and dryer, a gas range, a dishwasher, and a garbage disposal, providing all the modern conveniences we could wish for during our stay. One of the most interesting aspects for me was imagining what life must have been like in this historic 136-year-old home, where the occupants relied on an outhouse and had to pump their water. It was fascinating to see how well-preserved the flooring, doors, and moldings were too! We’re already excitedly reserving the Beach Peach for our 2026 vacation!
